These Terms of Use (“Terms”) cover your use of personalprofitability.com, the Personal Profitability podcast and newsletter, and any digital product you buy from us (together, the “Site”). Rosenberg Digital LLC (“Personal Profitability,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) runs the Site.
By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.
The short version
- We publish personal finance information to educate you. It isn’t personal financial, investment, tax or legal advice.
- We earn commissions on some links. You pay the same price either way.
- Our articles belong to us. You’re welcome to quote a short passage with a link back, but please don’t copy whole posts.
- Keep the comments civil.
Not financial advice
We write the Site for general information and education. We aren’t your financial advisor, broker, accountant, tax preparer or attorney, and reading the Site doesn’t create an advisory or professional relationship between us. Your situation is your own, so consider talking with a licensed professional who knows your circumstances before you make a financial decision.
Banks, card issuers and other companies change their rates, fees, rewards and terms often. Confirm the current details with the provider before you apply, open an account or buy. Investing involves risk, including the possible loss of the money you invest, and past results don’t guarantee future returns.
Affiliate links and partners
Some links on the Site are affiliate links. If you click one and then buy a product or open an account, the company may pay us a commission. You don’t pay anything extra. We decide what to write about and what we think on our own, and a commission doesn’t buy a positive review. Our Disclaimer has the details.
Digital products
We sell some digital products, such as eBooks, through the Site. PayPal processes the payment. After you pay, you get your download link on the confirmation page and by email.
Your purchase gives you a personal, non-transferable license to use the product yourself. Please don’t share, resell or republish the files.
You can’t return a download, so sales are final, except where the law says otherwise. If you have trouble with a file or it doesn’t match our description, email [email protected] and we’ll make it right with a working copy or a refund.
Comments and submissions
You’re responsible for what you post. When you post a comment, you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display it on the Site, keep it there and trim it for length or clarity. We may remove any comment for any reason, including spam, personal attacks, off-topic promotion or anything unlawful.
Please don’t post account numbers, your Social Security number or other sensitive personal details in a comment, since anyone can read it.
Acceptable use
You may not:
- scrape, crawl or copy the Site with automated tools without our written permission,
- republish our articles, podcast episodes or products without permission,
- try to break into, overload or interfere with the Site,
- post spam, malware or anything unlawful, or
- use the Site to break the law or to harm anyone.
Intellectual property
Rosenberg Digital LLC or its licensors own the Site, including the Personal Profitability name and logo, the articles, the podcast episodes, the graphics and the digital products, and the law protects them. You may quote a short passage if you credit Personal Profitability and link to the original article. We keep every right we don’t grant you in these Terms.
Third-party links
We link to banks, card issuers, brokers, apps and other websites. We don’t control those sites, and we aren’t responsible for their content, their offers or their privacy practices.
Disclaimer of warranties
We provide the Site “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don’t promise that the Site will be available without interruption or free of errors.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Rosenberg Digital LLC won’t be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages that arise from your use of the Site, your inability to use it, or any decision you make based on its content. If we are liable to you for anything, our total liability won’t exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Some places don’t allow certain limits on liability, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top of this page. If you keep using the Site after we post a change, you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
The laws of the State of California govern these Terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If we can’t resolve a dispute informally, the state and federal courts in Ventura County, California have exclusive jurisdiction over it.
