Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 12, 2026
Last updated: October 12, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Rosenberg Digital LLC (“Personal Profitability,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you visit personalprofitability.com, listen to the Personal Profitability podcast, or buy a digital product from us (together, the “Site”).

The short version

  • You can read the Site without an account, and without giving us your name or email address.
  • We collect what you choose to send us, like a comment, a message, a newsletter signup or a purchase, plus basic usage data.
  • We set analytics cookies only after you accept them in our consent banner.
  • We earn commissions on some links. We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t run third-party ad networks.

What we collect

Information you give us

Comments. When you leave a comment, we collect the name, email address and website you enter, the comment itself, your IP address and your browser’s user agent. We publish your name, your website and your comment. We never publish your email address.

Messages and signups. When you use our contact form or sign up for our newsletter, we receive the name, email address and message you enter.

Purchases. When you buy a digital product, we keep your name, your email address, what you bought, when you bought it and your IP address. We use them to deliver your download and to keep tax and accounting records. PayPal handles the payment itself, so we never see or store your full card or bank account number.

Information we collect as you use the Site

Usage data, with your consent. We use Google Analytics 4 to learn which pages people read, how they found the Site, what browser and device they use, and their approximate location (city or country, which Google estimates from the IP address). We run it in Google’s consent mode. Until you accept analytics cookies in our consent banner, we set no analytics cookies. You can change your choice at any time from the banner.

Affiliate link clicks. We route some links through our own short links before they reach a partner’s site. When you click one, we record the click, including your IP address, your browser and the page you came from, so we can see which recommendations readers use. The partner may set its own cookies to credit us for a sale.

Browser notifications, if you turn them on. If you allow notifications when your browser asks, we use WonderPush to send you alerts about new articles. WonderPush keeps a token that identifies your browser. You can turn notifications off in your browser settings at any time.

Server and security logs. Our web host and Cloudflare log standard request data, including IP addresses, user agents and timestamps, to keep the Site fast and secure.

Spam filtering. We send comments and form submissions to Automattic’s Akismet service, which checks them for spam using the content you submit and technical details such as your IP address. If you use Gravatar, Automattic shows your profile picture next to your comment, matched by a hashed version of your email address.

How we use it

We use your information to:

  • publish and moderate comments,
  • answer your messages,
  • send the newsletter you asked for (every issue includes an unsubscribe link),
  • deliver your purchases and keep business records,
  • learn which articles help readers, so we can improve them, and
  • keep the Site secure and free of spam.

We don’t sell or rent your personal information, and we don’t use it for targeted advertising.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the companies that help us run the Site, and only so they can do that work:

CompanyWhat it does for us
Google LLCWebsite analytics (Google Analytics 4, consent-gated) and Google Tag Manager
PayPal, Inc.Payment processing for purchases
Sendinblue SAS (Brevo)Delivery of email the Site sends, such as receipts and form notifications
WonderPush SASBrowser notifications, if you turn them on
Automattic Inc.Comment and form spam filtering (Akismet) and profile pictures (Gravatar)

Amazon Web Services, Inc.Hosting for podcast audio files

When you listen to the podcast in a podcast app, Amazon Web Services logs the download, including your IP address and the app you use. Your podcast app has its own privacy policy.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect the rights, safety and property of our readers, the public or us. If we ever merge with or sell the Site to another company, information may transfer as part of that deal, and we’ll tell you if a different privacy policy will apply.

Cookies

We set cookies for a few reasons. Essential cookies keep the Site working: they remember your consent choice, the contents of your cart and, if you check the box, your comment details. We set Google’s analytics cookies only if you accept them. Partners you reach through an affiliate link may set their own cookies on their own sites. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

How long we keep it

We keep a comment as long as it stays on the Site, and a message as long as we need it to handle your question. We keep purchase records as long as tax and accounting rules require. Google keeps analytics data for the retention period we set for our property, and our host rotates server logs on a short cycle.

Your choices and rights

You can:

  • decline analytics cookies, or withdraw your consent, from the consent banner,
  • unsubscribe from the newsletter with the link in any issue,
  • turn off browser notifications in your browser settings, and
  • ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, by emailing [email protected].

California residents. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to access, correct or delete it, to receive a copy, and to exercise these rights without discrimination. We don’t sell or share personal information as the law defines those terms, so you have nothing to opt out of.

Readers in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom. You may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our processing, and to data portability. We rely on your consent for analytics cookies, notifications and the newsletter, on our contract with you for purchases, and on our legitimate interest in running a secure Site with useful comments. You can withdraw consent at any time, and you can complain to your local data protection authority.

To use any of these rights, email [email protected].

Children’s privacy

We write Personal Profitability for adults. We don’t direct the Site at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Where we process information

We run the Site from the United States. If you visit from somewhere else, we transfer your information to the United States and process it there, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live.

Links to other sites

We link to banks, card issuers, brokers, apps and other websites, including through affiliate links. This policy covers only our Site, so read the privacy policy of any site before you give it your information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the Site or the law changes. When we make a material change, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
